The Process Explained:

  1. The rectangular float is positioned. As a wave approaches, a valve closes, fixing the float relative to the seafloor.
  2. The wave rises, submerging up to three meters of the float and trapping approximately 600 cubic meters of air.
  3. At optimal pressure, the valve opens. The immense buoyant (lifting) force of 600 tons propels high-pressure water onto the Pelton turbine, generating electricity.
